Note: In this project, the colored glass pieces are glued to a clear glass base, so transmitted light will shine through it. At some time in the past, it was accidentally dropped and the clear base glass cracked, so we glued another piece of clear glass to the back and sandblasted it so that the cracks wouldn't be quite so evident. Still a very pretty item. Sold "As Is".

With plenty of blank mirror space to see yourself as you comb your hair, this decorative mirror is totally unique and original! Designed and executed by Landin's own Mark Seaholm, the colored image was achieved by sandblasting off the back of the mirror in certain areas and painting those areas with colored paints. The result is a clear image without the double image typical of etched mirrors. We photographed this piece in such a way that it reflected a sheet of black felt. This made the reflective mirror parts of the design look dark so that the colored image would show in the photo.
